Crews responded just before noon to Long Pond Road after receiving reports of the corpse washed up on the bank, the Holyoke Fire Department said. Police closed a section of the road for several hours as they investigated and cleared the scene.
Police are investigating the cause of death. Detectives have not released the identification of the body or any information on how they could have ended up in the water.
